To go trekking is to take a multi-day hike through rural, and often rugged territory. To get the most out of your trekking experience you must pack efficiently which requires you to follow some basic guidelines.
To avoid getting too much into bacteria always pack your hand sanitizer with your toilet roll, so you always have clean hands after doing your business. It is best to use a hand sanitizer that requires no water to activate in order to save time and boost efficiency.
Pack together all of your essentials you will need whenever you stay at your lodge. This will make things easier to find and pack up up when you leave. Also if the lodge you are sleeping in gets to be too cold at night try and sneak some of the mattresses off the adjoining beds and double up for extra warmth. If you are going to be sleeping in a sleeping bag make sure you get into the bag when your body is already warm. Do some kind of exercise such as push ups or jog in place to raise your body temperature. If you get inside a sleeping bag when your body is cold it will stay cold, and likewise if you are warm.
Once you start back out on your trekking try to take smaller steps to avoid strain on the knees and ankle joints. If you are going trekking over a couple of days it is best to create the least amount of strain on your body so you don’t wear yourself out at the start of the trip.
Take half an aspirin a couple times a day to help thin your blood. This way it will be easier to go the distance and you will feel better when trekking.
Overall if you pack efficiently and use common knowledge your trekking experience will be a pleasant one.
